Marshall Ford, MD
Cataract and Lasik Surgeon, Corneal Specialist
Polite, thoughtful and open, Dr. Ford has a calm and gentle disposition. People appreciate his sincerity and listening skills, as well as his careful precision and attention to detail. Born in Southern California, Marshall grew up in Chehalis, Washington where his father, Dr. Robert Ford, co-founded Pacific Cataract and Laser Institute. As a youngster, Marshall spent a lot of time building devices and taking things apart to discover how they worked. At age 16, he earned his private pilot’s license. Graduating from university with a degree in mechanical engineering, Marshall continued his studies in medical school. After earning his medical degree, Dr. Ford completed an ophthalmology residency and went on to pursue specialty training in cornea and refractive surgery. Dr. Ford enjoys time with his family, fitness training, computers, flying and off-road motorcycling. He and his wife Kelly, a veterinarian, make their home in Chehalis, Washington. They have two daughters—Lucy and Maile. Unassuming, steady and focused, Dr. Ford‘s goal is to continually advance the outcomes of surgery, doing whatever he can to improve results and make them more predictable. “Vision is so important to our quality of life. I want to use any talent I have to help restore sight and honor the Creator of this wonderful sense."
